Shadowlands Alpha Build 34902 – Ladenbilder, neue Customization-Optionen und mehr

Es ist wieder Zeit für einen neuen Shadowlands Alpha Build. Dieser wurde letzten Mittwoch auf die Testserver gespielt. Er bringt, neben neuen Charakter Customization-Optionen für Trolle, Pandaren, Nachtgeborene und Nachtelfen, Änderungen am Schatten-Priester, sowie die Aktivierung des Handwerksystems.

Gameplay

  • Es wurden neue Charakter Customization-Optionen für Trolle, Pandaren, Nachtgeborene und Nachtelfen eingefügt.
  • Der Volksbonus  der Menschen „Jeder für sich“ wurde in „Überlebenswille“ umbenannt.
  • Es wurden neue Ladebildschirme eingefügt.
  • Das Handwerksystem für Shadowlands wurde aktiviert.
  • Die Fraktion für den Schlund, die Ve’nari, wurden eingefügt.
  • Blizzard scheint einem „Player Guide“-System zu arbeiten. Dafür sprechen Variablen selche gefunden wurden.

Der Schatten-Priester

Am Anfang der Alpha wurden bereits alle Klassenänderungen eingefügt. Nach dem inzwischen viel Feedback in den Foren durch die Spieler ankam und die Klassen ausgiebig getestet werden konnten, gibt es jetzt noch mal ein paar Veränderungen. Diesmal ist der Schatten-Priester an der Reihe. 

  • Schatten-Priester erhalten Verschlingende Seuche zurück. Ein DoT, welcher 50 Wahnsinn verbraucht und Schattenschaden verursacht. Danach verursacht er über 12 Sekunden weiter Schaden.
  • Schattenwort: Tod verursacht nun 100% mehr Schaden, wenn das Ziel unter 20% Lebenspunkte liegt. 
  • Des weitern soll Schattenwort: Tod  zu einer Executer-Fähigkeit werden.

In this next build of the Shadowlands Alpha, we have updates to Shadow Priests that are intended to address some common concerns about the spec.

Returning Ability: Devouring Plague

We’ve seen a lot of feedback that Void Form can be challenging to utilize to its full potential in some combat situations, such as in Mythic Keystone dungeons on non-boss encounters, or for leveling and doing outdoor content. We tend to agree that Void Form can feel unrewarding in situations where it becomes difficult to maintain efficient insanity generation. Rather than heavily re-designing Void Form, we’re introducing a new tool for these combat situations with the return of Devouring Plague.

Along with Void Eruption, Devouring Plague will be the only other spell that costs Insanity. Our intent with Devouring Plague is for it to be used on enemies who die quickly, such as common creatures while leveling, or on simple trash pulls, while Void Form is more powerful on longer combat encounters.

Shadow Word: Death

Although we’ve seen a lot of excitement around this iconic spell making a return, we have concerns that it wasn’t very clear what its role will be in the modern Shadow Priest kit. Shadow Word: Death has always been intended to be an “execute” ability, so it must be something that is mostly used in the outdoor/leveling content. In the past, Shadow Word: Death found itself in Priest’s core rotations, even being used repeatedly against targets that weren’t about to die.

For Shadowlands, we don’t intend to add another core button to the Priest’s normal rotation. We want Shadow Word: Death to be situational. However, we feel that it could be a little more relevant in longer encounters such as boss fights. We’ve changed Shadow Word: Death to now deal 100% additional damage to targets at or below 20% health. Priests may now find that they wish to weave Shadow Word: Death into their rotations in some situations.

We feel that these changes will have a very meaningful impact on how the Shadow Priest now plays.

Handwerk

Nachdem das Handwerk in Battle for Azeroth seinen größten Tiefpunkt erreicht hat soll es in Shadowlands wieder an Bedeutung erhalten. Über die Alpha-Phase wurden bereits viele Materialen, Rüstungsverbesserungen, Verbrauchsgüter etc eingefügt. Diese konnten die ganze Zeit jedoch nicht genutzt werden. Nun hat Blizzard das Handwerksystem für Shadowlands aktiviert.

  • Sammelberufe haben mehr Skillpunkte als Herstellungsberufe. Kräuterkunde zum Beispiel hat 150 Skillpunkte, Ingenieurskunst dagegen nur 100.
  • Rezepte-Ränge wird es nur noch für wenige Rezepte geben.
  • Mit Shadowlands werden diverse Materialien für einen Beruf wieder von anderen Berufen hergestellt, wodurch eine Verbindung zwischen den einzelnen Berufen entsteht.
  • Desto höher die Skillpunkte eines Ingenieure sind desto weniger Fehlfunktionen haben seine Geräte.

The Shadowlands Alpha now includes Brokers in the Hall of Shapes in Oribos. Brokers are profession trainers and vendors that allow you to craft and test Professions changes coming in Shadowlands. Now, exploring the new zones, you’ll discover zone-specific herbs, ore, and fish, as well as new leathers from the denizens of the Shadowlands.

Professions Supporting Legendary Crafting

In the Shadowlands, you’ll be able to create your own Legendary Armor within the Runecarver’s Chamber, a place of exceptional power locked away in Torghast. Legendary crafting is not currently available for testing yet, but when it is, all players, regardless of their profession(s), will be able to create their own Legendary Armor.

Creating a piece of Legendary Armor requires a Base Item that will be imbued with Legendary powers.

Blacksmiths, Jewelcrafters, Leatherworkers and Tailors will be able to craft the Base Items which will eventually become your Legendary Armor.

  • A Base Item is a blank armor template that serves as a vessel for Legendary powers.
  • Base Items aren’t soulbound. They can be acquired from other players, your alts, or the Auction House.
  • The recipes for the Base Items, like the Chamber itself, are locked away in Torghast. However, once learned, they can be crafted from anywhere.

Optional Reagents

Optional Reagents are a new feature in Shadowlands, allowing players to customize the equipment they create. With Optional Reagents, you’ll increase the item level of the crafted item while also increasing the level required to equip the item. This will be especially useful while leveling up or gearing alts.

You’ll be able to specify which two of the four secondary stats you want the item to give bonuses to, allowing you to customize your character’s power. However, you cannot choose to make the item only have one Secondary Stat. Certain recipes will allow for bonus effects, such as increasing your flask or food buff durations. Optional Reagents will only apply to armor and weapon recipes at the start of Shadowlands.

Additional Updates

Not all Professions are the same, and we’re taking steps to address this by setting different skill bar maximums in Shadowlands. Gathering professions, being fast to level, will have skill bars that are larger than crafting professions, but should require the similar amount of effort to max out.

Star ranks for recipes have been greatly reduced in prominence in Shadowlands.

The Scrapper is a Battle for Azeroth-specific feature and will not be in Shadowlands.

We’re considering some degree of Profession interconnectivity, the concept that certain crafts from Professions are used in recipes for other Professions.

On experiencing the wondrous Shadowlands, Engineers will have a techno-magical breakthrough. Many Engineering devices are more powerful than their Azerothian counterparts, but so much power is difficult to control, and could result in a catastrophic backfire. However, Engineers will be able to reduce the likelihood of a backfire as they gain more skill.
